Vision and Values

Oasis Academy Putney is driven by a powerful ethos which aspires to treat everyone inclusively and recognises the importance of a holistic approach to education. As well as continuing to build a strong school and deliver a first-class education, it is also our desire to build an interconnected community, recognising that educational needs to not exist in isolation from the needs of the whole person.

"It takes a whole village to educate a child"

This African proverb reflects the importance of the whole community in educating our children. Support goes beyond the classroom and beyond the academy gate. Parents, carers, families and other members of the community are invited to be involved in the life of our academy.

Our mission statement is: Exceptional Education at the Heart of the Community.

Vision

  • Able to integrate socially, make and sustain relationships.
  • Understand we are all part of a global community.
  • To be equipped with knowledge and skills to access high quality further education.
  • Able to contribute to societal well-being.
  • Enthused about learning, confident and keen.

Values

The Oasis Ethos is aspirational, inspirational and something that we have to constantly work at. To help us in this process of personal growth and development we have the Oasis 9 Habits. These include compassionate, patient, humble, joyful, honest, hopeful, considerate, forgiving and self-controlled.

Our Trust

We are proud to be a part of Oasis Community Learning

OCL_TRUST_LOGO.png

We are privileged to be one of the largest and fastest growing multi-Academy sponsors in England, with over 40 Academy schools opened since 2004.

Our mission is to create and sustain a network of excellent learning communities where pupils can realise their full potential.

We are proud of the progress that Oasis Academies are making towards delivering an exceptional standard of education. Across the Oasis family of Primary Academies, the progress that pupils make is above the national average and, in 2015, this meant that 76% of pupils achieved at least Level 4 in Reading, Writing and Maths.

In Secondary Academies there has been a 14% improvement in the headline attainment measure of 5A*-C including English and Maths despite the more rigorous way this is being calculated.

As well as delivering first-class and innovative education, Oasis builds 'Hubs' in the places it works. Hubs provide integrated and diverse services to benefit the whole community. Through our exceptional education, we can achieve our vision of improving lives by bringing inclusion, opportunity and community transformation.
